Course Description
Students will have the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals though Work Based Learning opportunities. This will allow you to gain skills necessary to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Students will also learn the electrical theory behind residential and commercial electrical systems, national code, and safety systems.

Electrical Trades Instructor 

Hi, my name is Gunny Jensen, the new CTE Electrical Technology Teacher. I am excited to introduce students to all the opportunities available in the Electrical Construction Industry. I am a graduate of Honesdale High School in Honesdale, PA,
and Lackawanna College in Scranton, PA. My experience includes a five-year electrical apprenticeship through Local 81 IBEW in Scranton, PA, with a total of 32 years electrical experience in residential, commercial, and industrial construction. My experience as a foreman and job superintendent, and years of experience training hundreds of apprentices, has led me to want to share my knowledge with
the next generation of electricians. I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, biking, and enjoying the great outdoors. A fun fact about me is when there is snow on the ground, you can find me on the top of a ski mountain!
