Barbara Moran

Animal Science I Teacher

Hi my name is Barbara Moran and I am one of the Animal Science instructors. I have been working at CTE for 18 years, but I have been in my field for 30+ years. I was a horseback riding instructor prior to becoming a CTE teacher. I went to Delaware Valley College of Science & Agriculture where I received a Bachelors of Science. I was drawn to this field because of my love for animals and teaching. My students benefit from the hands-on experience they receive in this program and they will learn on the farm that I own, run and live on with my husband, Ed Moran who is the other program instructor. The farm is Stonewall Farms. In my free time I like to go to horse shows and a fun fact about me is that I grew up in the suburbs.

Ed Moran

Animal Science II Teacher

My name is Ed Moran and I am one of the instructors for the Animal Science program, along with my wife Barbara Moran. We own, run, and live on Stonewall Farm where this program is held. I have 47 years of experience in my field, and 19 of those years were spent being an instructor at CTE. Prior to this I was a full time farmer, as well as a Farm Consultant for Purina Mills, Inc. I started working in this field because I loved animals and found my passion. I went to Jeffersonville High School, now known as Sullivan West High School. I then went on to receive my Associates degree in Dairy Science at SUNY Morrisville, as well as a BS in both Animal Science and Dairy Science from Delaware Valley University in PA. The best part of my program is that students will learn the responsibility that comes from working with animals. In my free time I like to attend dog shows and go to livestock auctions. I also enjoy traveling.

Harley Sennett

Teaching Assistant

My name is Harley, and I have four years of experience in Animal Science. Before becoming a Teaching Assistant, I attended Liberty High School. I also worked for the Center For Discovery and was a Teacher Aide in the G-MOD. I study at SUNY Sullivan, where I am working on my early childhood education degree. What drew me into the field was that I was in the CTE program in high school and truly enjoyed it! I missed the work and the teachers. Now, I'm glad I have the opportunity to help teach our students the way I was taught years ago. I like playing video games, baking, and spending time with my family and pets. A fun fact about me is that I love collecting perfumes and pretty rocks.
