MaryJane Muller

Cosmetology I & II Teacher

Hi my name is Mary Jane Muller and I have been working in CTE for 4 years as a Cosmetology teacher. I went to Orange County Community College where I received an Associates Degree in Business Administration. I then went to SUNY New Paltz where I received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. I also graduated from Middletown Beauty School. Prior to becoming a teacher here, I worked in the Accounting field and I was a salon owner. I have 28 years of experience in my field and I was drawn to it because I enjoyed taking part in helping people look their best. The best part of my program that students benefit from is developing their ability to communicate with clients. The certifications I have are NYS Cosmetology License, Hair Straightening Certifications, Pravana Hair Color Certification and Barbicide Certification. In my free time I like to spend time with my family and a fun fact about me is that I love shopping.

I studied at Rockland County Community College and have my Cosmetology license, Esthetics License, and Nail Specialty License. I am a mom of 3 and the proud owner of a full-service hair salon called Foiled Again in Wurtsboro NY. Prior to teaching here, I worked as an Artistic Educator for an international hair color company. I was also a cosmetology and esthetics Instructor at Middletown Beauty School. I enjoy teaching students about customer service,  confidence building, and how to make people feel good about themselves.
